Splish Splash's Accessibility Program and Certified Autism Center Guide

In 2019, Splish Splash made history by becoming the first water park in New York to receive a Certified Autism Center designation as distinguished by the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Education Standards (IBCCES), thereby making it the most accessible water park in the state.

Through Splish Splash’s certification, we proudly offer our guests with special needs additional accommodations such as sensory guides, accessibility card, and helpful resources.

Staff Certification

When it comes to preparing a visit with guests with disabilities, it is important to know that Splish Splash’s staff and team members receive specialized training that supplies them with the skills, knowledge, and expertise required to cater to those with unique needs, including children or those with physical or cognitive impairments.

Splish Splash Ride Accessibility Program

Because of our dedication to family fun and entertainment for guests of all needs, we have implemented an IBCCES Accessibility Card for guests to fill out prior to visiting Splish Splash. This enables guests to request special accommodations for physical disabilities, mobility impairments, and/or cognitive disorders. Accessibility Card also ensure full privacy, as we do not see any private information.

By filling out an IBCCES Accessibility Card, accommodations related to waiting in lines, assistance with accessible rides, and more can all be streamlined and allow us to ensure that we provide the best experience possible.

While we do not use peanut oil for cooking or for toppings in Funky Pirate and Plaza Ice Cream, we cannot guarantee that our food items are free of all allergens, such as trace amounts of nuts, dairy, shellfish, and the like.
