Park Safety

Like Jackets & Floatation Devices

Only United States Coast Guard (USCG) approved life jackets are allowed in water attractions at Splish Splash. Guests may use a personal life jacket, provided it has the USCG approved symbol on it. “Water wings” or “arm floats” are permitted in the Kiddie areas only. No other inflatable personal floats may be used. Only you know your child’s or those under your supervision’s level of swimming skills. We strongly recommend that guests under 48” tall, or who are weak or non-swimmers, wear a Coast Guard approved life jacket where appropriate. Life jackets are available in Guest Services. When in doubt, WEAR A LIFE JACKET.

Know Your Swimming Ability

Most attractions are self-participating experiences that require some physical skills and agility. Water safety is an individual responsibility. If you or anyone in your group is unsure of their ability to swim, don’t ride without a life jacket.

Proper Swimwear

Proper swimwear is required on all attractions at Splish Splash. Swimwear must be conservative with no belt buckles, rhinestones, buttons, zippers, rivets or snaps on the back or sides. No street clothes or shoes, with the exception of aqua socks, will be allowed on the attractions. For your safety, aqua socks and t-shirts may not be permitted on some attractions. No masks, snorkels, or swim fins are allowed.

Lost?

If you have become separated from your child, please go to our Guest Services office located in the Main Plaza.

  • Observe each ride before participating.
  • Follow all lifeguard instructions.
  • Anyone currently or recently experiencing diarrhea should not use any pools or rides.
  • Read and obey all ride signs and audio instructions.
  • No diving or head first riding in any of the pools and attractions.
  • Obey specific safety rules, avoid “horseplay” and do not run in the park.
  • On double rides, be aware of your riding partner’s position and maintain a safe distance.
  • Wet surfaces are everywhere. Take care when entering and exiting all attractions.
  • Pool water is NOT drinking water.
  • Splish Splash assumes no liability for your personal items. Because of the nature of our attractions, some lost items may be irretrievable.
  • We strongly recommend that minors (under 18) be accompanied by an adult. Park does not assume responsibility or liability for unattended minors.
  • Splish Splash is a smoke-free park. Smoking is prohibited in all areas except the parking areas and outside the main gate ticket plaza. REMEMBER: THERE ARE MANY BARE FEET AT SPLISH SPLASH. PLEASE DISPOSE OF YOUR CIGARETTES PROPERLY.
  • To further promote safety, we continually test the vigilance of our lifeguards during operational hours. This training may include the use of safety equipment, such as a rescue mannequin or live participants.
  •  Safety is a team effort between our staff and you. As our guest, we believe in extensive and continuing staff training and facilities inspections. Please remember there is no substitute for your own vigilance and reasonable care.
